Origin

Kampot Pepper is grown in Kampot Province, located in the very south of East Asian Cambodia.

This is an area that, thanks to its coastal climate and geological conditions, enables local farmers to produce pepper of that very highest quality in the world. It is no coincidence that this pepper has received a protected geographical indication, similar to French champagne.
We purchase pepper from small family farms on the basis of direct trade conditions, which guarantee a fair reward for every grower, and we strive to promote this approach among other traders as well.
Thanks to that, by purchasing from us you gain not only the highest quality pepper but also the assurance that you are buying a sustainable and ethically responsible product that helps ensure its producers receive medical care and education for their children

Characteristic

It is delicate and fragile, and once you bite into it, it unleashes a perfect harmony of exotic flavors in your mouth.

It differs significantly from classic dried pepper. Green pepper offers An intense pepper flavor, which is gradually accompanied by notes of citrus and conifers, mutually interconnected with floral notes.

Processing

We pack this delicacy in the highest quality directly in Cambodia.

To the green peppercorns is added a pinch of salt flower obtained by evaporating sea water. The salt of fresh pepper preserves and thus guarantees its absolute freshness. Thanks to this processing, the grains retain the flavor of delicate green pepper just picked from the pepper vine.

Thanks to careful selection meeting the strict quality demands of Kampot pepper, as determined by the Kampot Pepper Association, only the very best grains are hand-selected. They are subsequently vacuum-packed to ensure preserved quality and freshness during the journey to the Czech Republic, where they are further selected, packed, and delivered right to your table.

Usage

Green pepper will be especially loved for its mildness by devotees of vegetarian cuisine.

Try combining its perfect flavor with dark meat, sauces, risotto or morning eggs. Tender green kernels also go well with pasta, for casseroles and in soups. It also pairs very well with mild cheeses, which create a sharper accompaniment.

This pepper is not suitable for grinding in a grinder due to clogging of the grinding mechanism. If you still wish to break its top skin, use a mortar.

Package

In Cambodia, we pack the pepper into pouches of 40 and 100 grams.

Thanks to these pouches, the beans retain the authentic flavor and aroma of fresh Kampot pepper. In this edition, it is furthermore stored in luxurious sealed envelopes made from extract paper. Used coffee cups are utilized for its production.

Each Package also includes a brochure that tells you the story of the best pepper in the world and introduces you to the world of .pepper..field.

Awards

Quality is our top priority, as confirmed not only by the certificates our pepper carries, but also by the awards it brings home from international competitions.

Among the most significant is the award given to our pepper as part of competition Great Taste, one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of gastronomy.

However, what is important for us is sustainability, which we do not treat as mere empty words, as demonstrated by the SDG’s award granted to truly sustainable and socially responsible projects.
