Frequently asked questions

Kampot pepper is exceptional because each of its colors tastes completely different, making it suitable for different types of dishes. It is therefore excellent for so-called food pairing, where you can combine one or even two types of pepper. Don't be afraid to experiment - in the end, it is mainly up to you which combination you like the most!

We sell only whole peppercorns. Grind the pepper to your liking. If you desire a sharp taste, grind finely; if you want to taste the true flavor of each pepper, choose a coarser grind - the result is fantastic! We keep the pepper whole because only this way do we preserve 100% freshness, quality, and taste as if you were right in Cambodia on one of our plantations.

The grinding mechanism can crush even coarse salt. We do not recommend grinding peppers or other spices in it, as the grinder could get clogged. The same goes for our lyophilized pepper (due to its salt content, it is much softer and more brittle), which should be crushed in a mortar or used as whole peppercorns.

The pepper we supply is hand-packed under strict control in the Czech Republic, no later than 1 month before sale, which is reflected in its taste. We bring fresh pepper from Cambodia immediately after harvest, carefully vacuum-sealed kilo by kilo. We do not know of any other company in the world that approaches the control and preservation of Kampot pepper quality as precisely.

Kampot pepper has obtained the exceptional PGI certificate - Protected Geographical Indication - which declares that the Kampot area in Cambodia is the best for growing pepper worldwide. It is the same as with other protected products, such as true Champagne.

We are currently working on spaces for a brick-and-mortar store. Until then, you can meet us at various food festivals, with specific locations being published in time on our Facebook or Instagram.

We ship goods by the next business day, engraving within a week. Delivery across the Czech Republic is usually the next business day after shipping. Delivery time is proportional to the workload of individual transport companies (e.g., during holiday periods).

The order is usually ready on the same day; if you order in the afternoon, it will be prepared the next day.

The white color you may see on the surface of the lyophilized pepper is caused by a salt solution from real salt flowers, used to preserve the fresh green pepper during transport from Cambodia to the Czech Republic to maintain its maximum freshness.
